You are the support of Russian scout movement, you are the rover and you can do much. This Jamboree is a peculiar test for you! Are you able to solve complicated tasks, to create a team of unfamiliar people? Will you be able to head the scout team at competitions and to lead them to victory? Will you cope with the difficult problem of changing the world to the best? Are you able to work along with the adults, to realize Jamboree activities? Will you be able to uphold you own views at disputes? Is it possible to rely on you for the future of Russian scout movement?
Terms of participation:
-Each rover scout applies personally for himself/herself
-Age of participants 15-17 years
-Rover scouts live and have meals at their group and delegations
-The rovers have a special place for gathering at the Jamboree area
-The rovers will not be divided into permanent patrols and there won’t be a competition system. Each
scout can choose any activity at Jamboree and work on it as the organizer or his assistant.
Program:
- Each rover scout can choose any activity when applying. He can deal with technical staff, junior camp, block staff (water, social, applied, “Catastrophes Medicine School”, “Forest patrol”), activities staff, building of Jermak boats, building of chapel...
- You will be able to pass 3 blocks from advanced level with the rover scouts team or on the head of the scout team. Moreover, you choose, which activity you take part in and which team to join.
- Each rover scout can suggest his own project to be fulfilled at Jamboree. Please contact rover scout curator Strelkova Irina (xienot@narod.ru) before the 1st of April for that. Thoroughly worked out plan of the project must be attached.
- Your successful staff work at rover scouts blocks can be rewarded for the opportunity to get, for instance, sports grade at water tourism, reference for passing over courses at “Medicine Catastrophes School” or certificate of Jamboree organizers for the chosen activity.
- At the end of Jamboree all rover scouts are going to take part in “Jermak campaign” as organizers. Sward battles, fortress defence, ambushes and raids...- let’s measure the scout spirit of our junior membership!
Evening gatherings, disputes, “press-conferences” with the leaders of Russian scout movement; tactical and intellectual games will help you to measure the extent of your freedom and responsibility at the same time.
- Night is not time for sleeping, but it time for test yourself at the conditions of limited visibility!
